Obesity is the main therapeutic target for type 2 diabetes, say experts

An expert panel, which included Professors Edwin Gale, editor of Diabetologia and John Buse, University of North Carolina School of Medicine, Chapel Hill, US, tackled the issue of obesity in type 2 diabetes and limitations of the ADA/EASD consensus algorithm at the European Association for the Study of Diabetes conference in Vienna.
