HospitalDr.co.uk is a daily information service for all doctors working in secondary care. The website keeps our readers up to date with developments in the NHS and enables them to discuss the latest medico-political issues.
Many websites dedicated to professions which are experiencing change feel defensive and pessimistic; not Hospital Dr. This website does not oppose change for the sake of opposing change. Hospital Dr supports progress that fully involves hospital doctors and is responsive to their views. We encourage all our contributors not just to highlight problems but to suggest solutions.
Hospital Dr will also provide a resource for doctors in their career development, offering advice and opinions that will help them secure their next job and make a success of it.

Hospital Dr is owned by Ruby Media. It’s not a large corporate publisher, and is focused on providing great content rather than obsessing about the bottom line.
The editor of Hospital Dr is Mike Broad. Mike is a career journalist. He has worked in the trade press for 14 years and his career includes stints on Property Week, Charity Finance and Personnel Today.
Between 2003 and 2006, Mike was the editor of Hospital Doctor magazine – the weekly print title formerly owned by Reed Elsevier and closed in 2007. He went on to become the group editor of Community Care magazine before leaving to start up Ruby Media.
Mike is married to a consultant endocrinologist and lives with their three children, five chickens and two horses in Wymondham, Norfolk.
